What happens when a creative dream becomes a journey of healing, discovery, and a little bit of magic? Welcome back! In this VLOG, I'm sharing another behind-the-scenes look at creating ALCHEMY, my original fairytale stop-motion film based on my novel.

This month has been filled with creativity, experimentation, and a few unexpected adventures! From teaching an art workshop for photographers by creating a whimsical circus-inspired set, to designing new needle-felted characters, taking my first pottery class, sketching storyboards, and expanding the miniature world of ALCHEMY, there's a lot happening behind the scenes.

But this creative journey is about more than making a film. I also share a little about how ALCHEMY first began during a difficult chapter of my life, while caring for my parents during covid. What started as painting and writing in the quiet moments became an unexpected journey of self-discovery, grief, and healing. Through Cassandra, the seemingly perfect magical doll at the heart of my story, I began exploring perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the importance of embracing all the parts of ourselves.

You'll also meet my newest little characters, Luigi and Salvatore, two mischievous sewer rats who are joining the backstage crew! As I continue developing the script, storyboards, characters, and miniature sets, I'm learning to appreciate the slow process of building something meaningful. I hope this little glimpse into my creative world inspires you to make something of your own. :)
